The Runaways will start and end their annual plog run from our Fox Street tasting room! If you've never heard of plogging, it's "plucking" trash while "jogging" = plogging! It's a great way to get out into the community and make a visible difference. We've collected over 1,500 pounds of trash to date in partnership with the City of Portland, and local businesses!

We'll provide the trash bags, gloves and handheld trash pickers, you provide the positive vibes and the legs! We'll start at 11am and end around 2pm with drinks afterwards!

Toad & Co will also join us in the tasting room for a pop-up upon returning from the plog.

Through community and neighborhood trash clean-up events, RUBBISH sparks conversation and engagement around avoiding single-use plastic, rethinking our waste stream, and the connection between the trash on our streets and the well-known issue of marine plastic pollution.

Come join us for a community trash clean-up, get your trash on, and enjoy a social gathering. And as always - you can win some pretty amazing raffle prizes too!

Our intention is —To celebrate the release of a beautiful new beer collaboration between Orono Brewing & Austin Street Brewery, called Variegated.

The movement practice will be a 60-minute experience that will include: mindfulness prompts, grounding breath, slow flow vinyasa yoga, and a relaxing meditation. This is for all level yogis! You do not need yoga experience. If you have a regular practice, your time on the mat will feel luxurious. ♡

Following our time on the mat, we will flow into an East Pine Plant Shop curated collection of variegated plants.

What to Expect —

We will take time to arrive, set intentions and honor the space. We’ll move through a gentle and fun warm up to ground into our bodies and the moment.

As we build heat and connection, we’ll practice breath to movement (vinyasa style) yoga in a fun flow. Then, we’ll slow things down with gentle, restorative yoga, to set up our minds and bodies for a brief rest and meditation.

How you will feel —

Connected, calm, confident, centered in your mind and body — on the mat & off the mat.

About Your Guide:

Liz Merci is our East Pine Wellness Queen! 🦋She has been teaching yoga for over five years in Portland, Maine and is known for her creative, playful and approachable style of sharing movement. She aims to cultivate self-awareness, self-study and self-trust in her teachings. She has continuing yoga education in Ayurveda, functional movement, restorative yoga, trauma informed yoga, breath work, meditation, and more!

Clasp-less jewelry is when a chain is selected, custom cut to fit the wrist, and then soldered on with a jump ring, which leaves it with no clasp, therefore making it “permanent” (or until you decide to remove it).
